President Gustavo Petro's harsh response to Keralty's lawyer after insisting that the president rectify his position: "A foreigner doesn't threaten me."

President Gustavo Petro issued a harsh response to statements made by the lawyer for the Spanish company Keralty, Juan David Riveros, in an interview with EL TIEMPO's Investigative Unit, regarding the actions they would take if the president does not rectify the statements he made about the company's owner, whom he accused of being a thief.
On his X account, President Petro said that he is not threatened by a foreign lawyer and added that he will not kneel.
"I am not threatened by a foreigner. I will use all the means available to me by law and international law to ensure that foreign capital in Colombia does not threaten the health of Colombians, the country, and the person of the President of the Republic," the president asserted on the morning of Saturday, July 19.
And he added: "Those who evade our law and break the clause against trading with genocidal regimes will receive our legal response. Death is better than enslavement or colonization again. We do not bow down."
